近日，2012年度美国物理学会会士（APS Fellow）新增名单陆续公布揭晓，我系有两位校友当选：王鸿飞（我系83级本科生现为西北太平洋国家实验室教授）、齐飞（我系91级硕士和94级博士研究生，现为我校同步辐射国家实验室和核科学与技术学院教授)。 美国物理学会成立于1899年，是世界第二大物理学组织，是一个非牟利性科教组织，致力通过学术刊物会议及推广活动，探究并弘扬物理学，在全球约有四万多会员。该学会每年从全体会员中推选出不超过0.5% 的对物理学有重要贡献者授予会士称号。该物理学会编辑和出版的“物理评论快报”是物理界最著名的刊物。
